BU Transfer Thread Fall 2011

btw, they didn’t answer me the SAT 1 qs but they removed it from the missing documents list …

got my decision! ACCEPTED for FALL 2011!

Can someone give me a link or directions on how to check my application status?

BU is no longer really in the running for me but I still think I need to check.

CONGRATS TB0492! Do you know if you’ll definitely be attending?

And moniso-- thanks so much… sending that e-mail right now!

Congrats TB!

Just curious, did they include your financial aid information also?

Congratulations, TB0492!

Did you get your decision in an email or in a letter?

I’ve been really antsy about getting my decision, especially because I was nominated for a full-tuition scholarship (!) through my community college.

Guys-- thanks so much for your advice! I checked back on the last form that I was missing, and they immediately took care of it… and then my applicant link said that my application review was complete…

…and then I checked my account again at 8 (out of nerves mostly)… ACCEPTER to COM for fall of 2011! (Aaaaaaaaaaaaah!!!) I wasn’t expecting to hear back so soon, and I’ve been freaking out ever since. Nothing came through in e-mail, so I guess you just have to keep checking your account.

Best of luck to all you guys!

they didn’t include my financial aid decision yet, so I’m just waiting on that. but it’s pretty much a given that I’ll end up going to BU. I love it there!
I found out by checking my applicant link.
It was actually the same thing as wickedfish. It said my application review was complete, so I ended up checking around 11 PM my time and all of a sudden it said “Congratulations!”. Just make sure you keep up with your applicant link, because that’s where you’ll find out first!

no ones been asked for spring grades yet?! =(

woow!!! wickedfish, that was fast!!! I still have a document missing, but the guy told me they did process it… I’ll probably call and see what’s wrong… hope to have your luck

Accepted into SMG!

It seems like they aren’t too organized, but if anyone is having trouble with paperwork, it seems like e-mailing them is really effective.

when do we have to make our decision by?

My letter says June 1st.

Ahhh! This is driving me crazy. Things got messed up with my College Official’s Report so ApplicantLink didn’t say my application was complete until this Monday. However on Monday I got my acceptance letter to Suffolk University, which is nice but Suffolk wants a reply by May 16. I’m freaking out. What if I don’t hear from BU by then? Suffolk is my safety but it’s the only school I’ve hear from out of three so far. Baaaah! Nerves.

CCJ1003-- I’m not especially qualified to give advice, but from what I’ve heard, you should probably call the school ASAP and explain the situation, or try e-mailing them, because that’s actually pretty effective too. Just keep following up until it works out. As far as I can tell, they won’t want to lose a possible student just because they took too long to get back to you…

CCJ1003 - I agree, call the school. I was accepted today, and three days ago I called and they put me on a list of applications which need to reviewed asap. They definitely accommodate students in special situations.

hi everyone, i was recently accepted to bu as a transferring sophomore and im so excited because i was wait-listed last year when i applied in high school. and my grades are pretty average so if anyone’s nervous about getting in, you should be fine!
major: anthropology, liberal arts
SAT: 1910
HS GPA: 3.57
college gpa: 3.5

i really want to attend bu but its so expensive! does anyone have any idea about how generous they are with financial aid? i would really appreciate it.

Hey I just got an email from BU with my decision. when u guys found out u guys got in did you guys had to log into your portal or did it say it already in the email?

I’ll definitely give them a call. I’m so anxious to get a decision. Eeeek.
