Which school would be the best (2nd best, 3rd best) for business: Boston University, Babson College, or Northeastern University? By best I mean in terms of academic and reputation.

probs babson, BU then Northeastern. I don’t know too much about Babson, but Northeastern is a little more STEM directed

Babson offers a huge variety of courses. Although everyone studies business here, there are many options to pursue your passions, whether that is social entrepreneurship, history or math. You will get a very well rounded education while being able to go after your own passions. Babson also has a great reputation and a strong Career Center that has great relationships with a variety of corporations that come to campus to recruit Babson students.

Depends what you want to study. In the 90’s BU was the hot school, Since Silber left the presidency, Northeastern has probably slipped ahead of BU. Babson, depends what you want to study. Great business school, doesn’t have engineering like NU and BU. BU has medical school, NU has pharmacy school and law school.

I go to BU so I may be bias, however I did my research into all 3 schools prior to transferring. It really depends on what you want to do with business. Babson is a Business only school. They are ranked top 1 in entrepreneurship. Northeastern is known for students staying 5 years before graduating (5-year is a mandatory internship). BU is just like any regular Business school. When it comes to finance and other categories, I believe BU is better. Also, when it comes to reputation, I think BU and Babson is very similar. Babson is known for having the best entrepreneurship program! BU has been rising in rankings and they are constantly changing things around. As far as a program (BU compared to NE), I think BU is a lot better. Today in my class, my professor told us a Northeastern professor referred to BU business as “that marble palace.” It has a well-known reputation.
