I am a graduating senior from Minnesota and I am trying to decide between these schools for pre-med, majoring in biomedical engineering or neuroscience. I haven’t quite decided if I want to pursue engineering or not.
BU: I have not had the opportunity to visit BU due to the coronavirus so, in addition to info on its pre-med program, any inside info about its very urban campus would be helpful.
Georgia Tech: I was able to visit and I liked their campus but I am concerned about being pre-med there because they have no medical school and are not very focussed on clinical research or experiences from what I have seen so far. Any clarification would be great.
UMN: I know the campus very well and have been volunteering there for 3 years now so that is not a concern. I am more concerned about the quality of their pre-med program in relation to these othschools and whether their relative lack of prestige would hurt me in med school admissions.
Finance Info: BU and Georgia tech would be full tuition, so around 77k and 50k including room and board, respectively. UMN-TC would be around 25k.
