Ok, so out of those med progs, which one would be best suited for me? I dont mind cramming a little for MCATs and I just want a relaxed, non-competitive, easy going atmosphere. The prestigue of the medical school is not a factor for me.

all i know is that I would NOT wanna go to IIT. I took a tour of that school once and it has the most depressing environment. The campus is tiny and unsightly, while most of the students seemed overworked. I dont know how much this matters to you, but it is like 70% male. I couldnt deal with it, which is why I never even applied to the program.

Based on the advice you gave someone else, ie:

"i'd go with bu 7 year,
better med skool
boston's a helleva city
and overall the program is less rigorous and more flexible
bu is kinda expensive adn most program kids dont get scholarships but i'd still go with bu."

There's quite a bit of room for a non-science major. The program is designed so there is adequate space each semester for the student to persue any minor or major in the college of arts and sciences. Some kids in the program are persuing a mba as well, through bsm, which is a good business skool. AP credit won't reduce your overall courseload but it can help waive nonscience requirements, allowing the student to persue courses/electives that they are more interested in.

i have to choose between vcu and drexel.. and i dint get into umdnj. i dont wanna take the mcats.. but like.. vcu's program seems hard.. i dunno if it is tho. but either way. kvjc11 !! YOU SHOULD GO TO VCU.. AND HURRY UP AND FILL OUT THOSE HOUSING FORMS.. HONORS DORMS ARE ON A FIRST COME FIRST SERVE basis.. i mailed mine out today and i dint even say yes for vcu yet. so do it!! at least u'll know that if u do end up goin 2 vcu u'll have nice dorms. AND PLUS.. U NO VCU'S BETTER . isnt that where you want to go.. where u felt more comfortable and happy. ?? welll goodl luck with ur decision

chicabonita, CHOOSE VCU! You know you want to... I mean, no MCAT's and 3.5 shouldn't be that hard to maintain if you were able to get into the GMed Program in the first place! Drexel requires that you have a 30 on the MCAT...national average is 27...VCU...No MCAT Requirement...no contest...VCU IS BETTER!

hey visionary r u goin to vcu?? itd be great to talk 2 someone i no im gonna meet and see. its weird cuz some peopel say drexel and some vcu. is saving a year a really big difference?? and i figure im gonna take the mcats newayz jus to see if i can get into better med schools. but at least unlike drexel i no i already have a med school to go to and theres no requirement i have to meet. we should chat !!
