I applied to both Boston University and Northeastern University. Right now, Im more towards Boston University as my first choice university, since my school has a good reputation with BU and I heard that the on-campus dining is pretty nice and theres a plethora of choices. I want to know which one is more competitive in terms of statistics like SAT and average GPA.
I think NEU is more competitive but Im not too sure.

Yes I believe NEU is slightly more competetive and selective (BU~1900 SAT, NEU~1950 SAT) but I think that one of the most important factors in deciding would be which school is stronger in your major. What is your prospective major?

For both schools i chose Business with concentration of Entrepreneurship.

I had to make the same decision this summer, and I went with Northeastern. My decision was not swayed by any financial reason, I could afford both. Reasons I picked NU over BU:

Co-Op (one of the best internship programs in the world)

2nd fastest rising university in the rankings

Ranked 80th (BU 56th) nationally

Business School ranked 27th (BU 43rd)

Amazing campus, great location, better dorms, better facilities, classrooms

35% acceptance rate (BU 60%)

Large international student body

More personal, friendly atmosphere

Had all the clubs I was interested in

Don’t have to take a subway to get to class

I am studying finance at Northeastern, and I love it. My classes are interesting, my professors are amazing, and I am going to get hooked up with a fantastic job for my internship.

Definitely Northeastern :)

Very solid reasons manza. :)
