BU vs Northeastern (Business Major)

I’m applying as a business undergrad major and I am kinda set interested in both these schools and would like to find out all the differences.

Which school has the “better” business program? I’ve heard Northeastern has Co-Op, does BU have that?

Which university has the better “name recognition” or prestige? And how are both universities with Tuition and Aid?

Any other tidbits of information would be helpful - thanks btw.

Hi, both schools are close in rankings, with BU just edging out Northeastern by two positions (source: Bloomberg Business week) [The Complete Ranking: Best Undergraduate Business Schools 2013 - Businessweek](<a href=“Bloomberg - Are you a robot?”>Bloomberg - Are you a robot?)

If you’re interested in Boston schools, then you should also consider Boston College, which is ranked well in the Bloomberg Business methodology.

Northeastern’s co-op program is offered to all students. While BU and BC do not have formal co-op programs, BU does have a very well structured study abroad program [Study Abroad Programs » School of Management | Boston University](http://management.bu.edu/undergraduate-program/academics/study-abroad/)

As far as value, I would recommend you compare your schools using the higher-education college score card which offers many important statistics such as overall cost, graduation rate, loan default rate, median borrowing rate and eventually, employment information. Here is the link for the college score card: [College Scorecard | The White House](<a href=“Priorities | The White House”>Priorities | The White House) Be sure to use the “Net Price Calculator” from each score card to get a sense of what families are expected to contribute and what the average financial aid package could be.

Best of luck.
