BU Vs Northeastern Vs Babson Vs UIUC for business (finance concentration)

Hey, I’m from India. I’ve been accepted to the business schools for undergrad at all these colleges and I’m having a tough time deciding between them for a prospective career in banking/consulting. Important things for me in order include career opportunities, campus feel, social life and the crowd.

For BU, I love the reputation of the Questrom School of Business and their amazing career development services. They have also been ranked #6 for employment in the world by Times Higher Education. However, I think they don’t have a great campus and don’t give a traditional college feel.

At Northeastern, I love the the overall feel and they have co-op which is pretty amazing and helps in employment to an extent. Also, they have been coming up a lot recently and have been boosting up their rankings and reputation. But I don’t know how reputed it still is.

For Babson, I love the close knit business environment. They have a great international reputation as a business school and I can see myself fitting in. However, I’ve heard they’re not very good for finance, specially the employment part which worries me.

At UIUC, I can do a double major in finance and accounting because they’re highly ranked for finance. Also, the business school just received a $150M funding which is being used entirely for undergraduates. They’ve been focusing more on the business school recently and it’s ranked highest among the colleges on my list. However, it is mainly known as an engineering college and the location isn’t as good as Boston.

Cost is not much of a factor for me. Please help me decide guys.

I’d choose between Northeastern (real campus, lots of experience through co-ops) and Babson (excellent for business).

Here is some information on finance career paths at Babson. 23% of the class goes into finance. Boston is the third largest financial hub in the US. Fidelity has its headquarters in Boston and is the largest employer of Babson grads. Babson does place people on Wall Street at the rate of some other schools but they could have fewer grads seeking that path.
