Hey guys, so I’m narrowing my choices down for universities and for my Business major, and I’ve practically narrowed it down to these schools (University of Maryland, Penn State - Smeal, and Boston University)

From an analysis of academic strength, internships, job security, and best potential wages, what order of these schools would be best to attend for the business school?

Please factor in the costs of the school too, thank you

bump still looking for an answer

guys I really need an answer :/

Definitely Boston U. Better school and a lot smaller than UMD or PSU. Also, being in Boston will give you more opportunities for internships. Also, you should go for the joint program where you get a BA-Econ from the CAS and a BS-Finance from the B-school. That will make you look smarter and more diligent to prospective employers.
Good luck.

thanks, more opinions appreciated.

You’re posting on the BU forum, so the opinions will be slightly one-sided (Semi-Kidding) I love BU – My dad went there, I’m a Bostonian and it’s a great school. However, If you’re going to major in Buisness, PSU is fantastic in my opinion. It has a very good program in Buisness. Additionally, it is MUCH less expensive than BU. Both BU AND PSU offer great internship opportunites, and honestly, PSU and BU do not differ TOO MUCH in their academic strength–in Buisness, they are truly equals, except for the less cost of PSU.

Im going to BU’s business school.

My mother’s coworker who has a son that just graduated BU’s business school and he received a job within 2 weeks for a large accounting firm, with a good salary.

There’s also a girl in one of my classes now - her brother went to BU’s business school and she says that he found within 2 months and has a starting salary of about 65,000 for a marketing company.

If that helps at all.

I really think being in Boston helps.

BU is super expensive. Can you afford it?
