BU vs UW-Madison vs UIUC vs Purdue

I have been accepted to all four universities and am interested in pre-med. Thus, I am pursuing a BME course. For UIUC, I had gotten accepted to Chemical Engineering, and plan to transfer into BME if I enroll.

Technically, I have gotten a free-ride into BU.

UIUC, I am offered to take loans with a 7.5% interest…the loans add up to $33,000.

Purdue gave me a loan up to $10,000. The rest of the tuition fee ($29,117) with the loan of $10,000 add up to a total of $39,117.

UW-Madison haven’t given out my financial aid status yet.

Financially, BU<UIUC<Purdue.

I had always thought UIUC was the best of the four, followed by Purdue, UW, then BU. Disregarding the campus, housing, etc. Just the education. However, I have been reconsidering since my research had been quite inaccurate.

I would like to know, REGARDLESS of the money, which university would be best for Medical school?

Considering the money, which is most worthy? Which is least?

Thank you so much in advance. I have been having a lot of doubts.

BU! You will be in Boston, which has some of the finest hospitals in the world. There are plenty of opportunities for undergrad research at BU on the main campus or on the medical campus, but in addition to that, there are lots of hospitals where one could do an internship (BU is walking distance to the Longwood medical area where there are a bunch of well known hospitals plus Harvard Med School), plus lots of biotech companies across the river in Cambridge as well as Boston. And it sounds like you got a fantastic deal with regards to the tuition.

Plus, BU is in a fun city! The one drawback compared to the others is no football, but Fenway Park is practically on campus.

Go BU!

So BU is better than UIUC, UW Mad, and Purdue?

All I’m saying is Boston has resources the other locations may not.

BU does have a better BME program too.
