I'm deciding between transferring to these 2 schools for different programs!

BU school of Communications (I would probably concentrate in advertising)
WashU school of Art for Communication Design (BFA)

I'm not sure if I wanna graduate with a BFA only so I would probably try getting a duel degree from WashU. I'm currently at Tulane. Very interested in visual communications and the magazine industry. Opinions?
Money is a factor but I haven't heard back for financial aid from WashU yet. BU's isn't too bad

Why would you get bashed Rodney? It really depends on what kind of career the OP is looking for.

I too would suggest BU for advertising, (I am a potential transfer there myself!), it’s COM school is considered one of the best in the country. Washington may be higher ranked, but major specific, I am sure BU trumps it.

thanks for the help! I actually just got my financial aid for washu and it isn’t looking so good.

I know Washu is much higher ranked than BU and Tulane but I really am considering passing up this offer, especially now that fin aid is out. I’m very interested in visual communications but I don’t want to be limited in the field by having only a BFA.

Do you think BU will appeal to my interest in visual communications if I do the advertising concentration?

If money’s an issue, I say probably go to BU. My mom studied visual art at BU and I’m pretty sure she was happy with the program, so BU should be able to satisfy your interest in visual communications as well

I recieved my course evaluation for BU and it doesn’t look so good. I’d have jr status at Tulane next semester with well over 60 credits but I think at BU I’d have to do 3 years and repeat core classes I already filled at Tulane simply because BU’s courses seem to have such specific titles! I really am interested in BU COM but this is discouraging. I wouldn’t mind it taking longer because of all the COM requirements but I should be finished with core by now! I’m not sure what to do now =/
