BU- West Campus or Warren Towers?

I was accepted into Wheelock at BU, and am set on BU (just waiting on a financial aid appeal before I put a deposit down). I toured campus recently, and am now wondering which dorm I should pick. I walked through both areas of campus and saw both West Campus and Warren Towers (as well as other dorms, but I liked the big, college-y feel of these two the best). Can any student from BU give advice?
I like Warren Towers because of its proximity to classes (especially Wheelock, where I will be spending most of my time), and that it is so central at the university.
I like West Campus because it feels a little bit more like a campus which is something I would be looking for at BU. I also liked the shops and activities by West Campus a lot.
My only concern for West Campus is the commute to classes every day? Do most students just walk? Mostly I wouldn’t mind that, but I am worried when it comes to really cold weather, thunderstorms, etc. Or do students take the T or a campus bus?

Any advice/experiences are much appreciated!

Calling @TomSrOfBoston who may be able to answer.

My kid is a BU grad. He lived on West Campus because it was so close (like right next to) the college of fine arts where his classes were located.

There is a lot to be said for proximity to classes. So…in your case Warren Towers sounds like it fits this. Think about this…it’s easier to get to evening study sessions, run back and forth between classes, etc.

My kid walked everywhere at BU…unless he was going “off campus” further away.
