<p>Neither. You do not apply to the College of General Studies. You apply to one of the other colleges, like CAS (Arts and Sciences), and either they accept you, waitlist you, outright reject you, or admit you to the CGS. Students admitted to CGS have SAT scores slightly lower than the other college admits (about in the 1100 - 1250 range) and GPA's in the 3.2 - 3.8 range. I believe that means that BU feels you have potential. It is supposed to be relatively easy to transfer as a junior to any of the other schools at BU. Make note that in CGS, you cannot choose most of your courses. You have to take CGS's math, science, english, etc...</p>
