Good news for those getting those emails. Are you all engineering students so far or also science majors? DD is biology/neuroscience and no email so far

Just an FYI for those who received a STEM scholars invite - the website says"The program encourages applications from students who are underrepresented in STEM fields — first-generation college, low income, multicultural and women students in particular. I’m guessing if you got the invite you’re probably going to be accepted. I think admission standards may be a little lower than the average which would explain some of the earlier posts. Congrats!

^ From “mahas” earlier post, it looks like they may be a parent of a kid applying to UVA Engineering. The profile shows one post as if they are a student and another as if they are a parent. Likely another parent posting on behalf of their kid.

Maha5261…why would you think the acceptance standard maybe lower? Because it’s saying multicultural, low income, first generation or women?? My D got the email and she has high stats, straight A’s, numerous ECs…I don’t consider her to be in a lower standard of acceptance rates…she has been accepted into Purdue, Colorado School of Mines, University of Illinios, University of Colorado Boulder and Texas A & M. Maybe I’m misreading your post?

Confirmed from the Admissions office this morning - Decisions will be released on the 28th during the day. No specific time was provided. All students should check their portal and an update link will be provided within the portal. Admitted students will receive a hard copy packet in the mail at a later time. Good Luck to all.
