Congratulations to all of you! 'Ray Bucknell!
Hey! if anyone who was accepted or deferred could post their stats for me that would be much appreciated! I love Bucknell and I think that there is a very big chance that I’m gonna do ED1 next year. I want to see what kind of chance I would have with ED. Also- if anyone applied to the business school please specify!!
Okay here we go. (if you love Bucknell go ED because they accept like 60% of ED applicants I got waitlisted JHU and said to heck with you guys! I like Bucknell better!)
Stuff about me?:

Volunteering: Yes! But nothing like “built homes after a hurricane” or “dolphin rescue squad.” Best thing was probably that I was a student aid for special needs children.
Did anyone get in with not so good stats? Do you think that I would have an okay chance for ED1 in the fall with a 3.5 UW gpa and a 29 ACT (both scores will probably improve SLIGHTLY by the end of this year)? I have pretty good extracurriculars too. I am the president of a club and a member of another, I take art classes outside of school twice a week, I student teach for a religious school class of elementary school students once a week, I take guitar lessons, and I will be taking weekend workshops at NYU in the spring.
In the Ed1 chat someone got in with a 29 ACT, I don’t know which school though.
Mostly, I would say you have a chance but you need to refocus on extracurriculars, as well as try to bring your GPA and ACT up. Did you consider taking the SAT subject tests?
Make sure to visit, reach out to professors, and to your regional counselor. Ask questions and don’t be a stranger. Chances are, they’ll remember you if you out yourself out.
I don’t think Bucknell is going to care about your guitar lessons, unless you perform or talk about it in your essays. They also won’t care about these workshops, unless you bring it up in essays. I think in the Common App they ask you to not classify any outside lessons as extra curriculars. Idk though, haven’t looked at in in awhile.
