ugh i am so sorry:( i was deferred ED from my first choice so i understand the feeling. I have a 3.7 UW gpa and took 2 AP classes (my school doesn’t offer that many so I took the two they required us to take and no others because I don’t believe in Aps/standardized testing haha) I had good community service – very involved with one specific organization, and good recs. I kinda frantically applied places after my deferral without thinking much haha.

Accepted. Engineering and Theater. Really enjoyed the Arts Merit Scholarship program, it was virtual over a couple of days and humanized the school, culture, and arts community. In fact Bucknell was impressive and stands out in the way it recognizes academic, community engagement, and artistic merit. Someone above asked about when to apply for scholarships. I applied for all at the time of application and when I was posting portfolios. Awarded merit scholarships and other financial aid. Honored and thankful.
Frustrated, I got waitlisted too. Not even sure how to interpret. I am a legacy, 1510 Sats (800m)
7 APs, GPA 4.7 W, 3.8 UW from top PA public schools Strong ECs and recommendations. Was this yield protection or were others more qualified.
