I really want to go to the best law school possible and I was wondering how much of an impact that should make on my college undergrad decision. I think both BU and F&M are great schools so does it really matter which school I go to? Also what is the social life like at Bucknell? I keep hearing work hard play hard and other stupid cliches, is this true? Both schools have division I wrestling teams and the coaches are interested in me so I need some help deciding. I just finished taking the SATs and my brain feels like mush please excuse the awful grammar and wording of my post.

Law school admission is very numbers based. Your GPA and LSAT score will matter much more than the name of the college or university that you graduate from. Truly.

Since you have two coaches who are interested in you, and two teams that you might end up choosing between, it would probably be best for you to try to squeeze in a visit to each place before you make any decisions.

I think they are similar in lots of ways. Have you visited? F&M is in Lancaster, a little bigger town than Bucknell. Both have ample on campus housing and both have good prep for law school.

Bucknell offers engineering too, so there are engineers and business students on campus and it is a larger campus size wise and population wise.

About sports - Bucknell is definitely Div 1. F&M is Div 3 for sure, unless wrestling is treated in a different manner?

You should visit both, but both are good choices.

I have an official visit to Bucknell Tuesday and I have already visited F&M. Wrestling at F&M is division 1 but all the other sports are division 3 which is weird but I’m not complaining. Thanks for responding.

Law school is expensive and there is generally no financial aid other than loans.

Will there be a large difference in COA for you?

No they will both cost about the same. As for law school, I have a very good chance of landing an assistant coaching job at a division 3 wrestling school and then I can attend grad school at that college for a reduced price. A lot of my older friends are doing that and its worked out for them so far. Or I will just go into a mountain of debt and pay for college into my mid 80s (most probable outcome).
