Hi all!
I know there is already a Bucknell/Nova thread, but this is a little more specific. My son’s dream school is Villanova business, yet he is on the waitlist and was accepted to Bucknell management regular decision. He is waiting to hear Nova (between May 1 and sometime in June) but I’m curious which is better. Bucknell is not ranked because it just recieved AACSB accreditation but has a very good reputation and Nova business is ranked pretty high! My S wants to work at a Big Four Firm in NYC, but isn’t sure what line of work he wishes to do, just to give an idea of his aspirations.
Kinda weird to post this on the Bucknell forum I’ll admit, but also what do you guys think his chances are of getting off Nova’s waitlist? He has a 3.57 GPA with 5 rigorous AP’s and a 32 ACT 33 superscore, 2040 SAT and very good EC’s.
Seems strange he was accepted to Bucknell but not Nova, stats seem high enough. As to whether he gets off waitlist, that’s a crap-shoot, although my S will be giving up his Nova spot (was accepted EA to VSB). Frankly, I think he would have an equal shot at both Bucknell and Nova at working at a Big 4 accounting firm. Bucknell could be be more aligned with NYC, Villanova more with Philly, but I believe the Big 4 heavily recruit on both campuses.
