Hi! I am between Bucknell and Villanova. I love Villanova’s location but love Bucknell’s party scene. I would love some opinions or information on either school to help me with my decision. Thank you!
What are you studying? Villanova has better access to a city and is in a bigger town. But bucknell is a cut above in terms of academics.
@surfcity I was accepted at both for engineering but I am also interested in business. What school do you think has a better reputation in the job market and more resources for internships/connections?
I’m in the same situation deciding between these two schools! I’m majoring in environmental studies though
Bucknell has always had a strong presence in the financial world, especially in NYC. Now that the Business School is AACSB accredited it adds to their reputation.
Since Bucknell is higher ranked than Villanova and is now AACSB accredited, I think it is a better choice.
Bucknell has a top ranked undergraduate engineering program.
Personally, I would choose Bucknell and its unique beautiful small college experience and choose the big city, if I want, for the rest of my life.
Do not really get why students want the big city experience instead of the college experience for four years. I guess it is because of their youth and not realizing they can experience the city for the rest of their life.
Is student enrollment size a factor ? Villanova’s undergraduate count is nearly double that of Bucknell’s (6554 to 3500), add in Villanova’s overall enrollment of graduate, part-time and law students and their total size is 10,735.
Totally agree. As an NYC professional, Bucknell has more cachet and clout
