Does this mean that Bucknell students have been sitting in class next to people with SAT scores 17 points lower (on average) than what they thought? The HORROR!

No it means they have a double standard - a student having broken an honesty code would be tossed out of school with loss of whatever tuition they paid to date and no PR machine to fix it. But years of misrepresentation by a highly regarded university that charges a fortune to attend gets to be swept under the rug because one individual was a bad apple.

I would not worry too much about the SAT scores of the entering students. The critical numbers are the job placement rate, the salaries, and the professional school admission rates. The end products are what customers are paying for. They better make sure that these numbers are correct.
