Because of the budget situation in California, will UCs (Berkeley in particular) be accepting more out of state transfer applicants? I know they have accepted more freshman applicants but do you think they will follow suit with OOS transfer applicants as well?

Any thoughts?

I just read that OOS transfers were 2% of the transfer population and another 2% were international. I don’t know if they’re planning on increasing this percentage but Berkeley has always been transfer friendly. It may be worth a try if you’re considering.

Regarding the transfers, I wouldn’t see why not…what % of current UCB students are transfers? Because I’ve actually seen/met a lot of them, and seeing that the crisis is kinda bad, I wouldn’t see why they wouldn’t let in a few more of them. I know those aren’t specific numbers, but it wouldn’t hurt to try! :)

The campus should be accepting fewer transfers. They just dilute the feel of the school - plus there is more than enough freshman demand.
