Buffalo as alternative to Rochester for air travel?

Does anyone know if there is organized transportation around critical times of the year (e.g., holidays) to/from Buffalo airport? In researching flights for my daughter to come home at Thanksgiving and for the Christmas shutdown, it seems I'm already too late in booking her flights. :-( Choices are highly limited and really expensive. Buffalo is just over an hour away and I'm imagining that some enterprising shuttle service runs a cheap charter around holidays.

I saw a note (<a href="http://www.ntid.rit.edu/prospective/EYF_PDFs/NTID%20DIRECTION.pdf%5B/url%5D">http://www.ntid.rit.edu/prospective/EYF_PDFs/NTID%20DIRECTION.pdf</a>) that ground transportation from BUF was $200. I also see that shuttle companies (e.g., <a href="http://www.buffaloairportshuttle.com/college_university_students.php%5B/url%5D">http://www.buffaloairportshuttle.com/college_university_students.php</a>) run to/from ROC but I've not discovered any prices yet.

Have you looked into buses to Buffalo Airport yet (Greyhound, etc)? That would have to cost less than $200.

I’ve not yet poked on Greyhound; I was hoping something that would run RIT campus to BUF roundtrip.

I don’t know where you live, but mybushome.com runs from RIT to Boston & New York (with stops in between). My son didn’t love it, but it was convenient as it picked him up on campus. There is also Amtrak.
