Buffer to Finance?

Hello, I'm currently a sophomore planning to major in Finance. So far, I've taken economics, accounting, marketing, etc.; basically all introduction courses. I have interest in all these areas of business, making it very hard to narrow my desired second major. Any suggestions, ideas? And no, I do not know what I wish to do after college, but if it is any help I do eventually want to pursue graduate school. Thank you all for reading this incoherent post, and I appreciate all your feedback.

finance+accounting is a good combo

the funny thing is all three of finance, accounting, and economics have a very similar function in business, but with different specializations that separate them. Marketing is very different from the other three, so marketing as a second major would be good. Like Finance and Marketing.

Economics sounds great for you since you want to pursue grad school and with an economics degree you can take pre-med and pre-law requisites and if you want to go to get your MBA you can easily find a good job as long as you go to a relatively good school.

there are no pre-law requisites. and anyone can take the pre-med classes. I don't see why someone would want to major in both finance and economics, what a waste of time.

I hear finance and econ is a bit of a waste, but I want to maintain a somewhat academic life after college. I am thinking that perhaps econ for academics, possibly grad school, and finance for a job right now? I attend NYU, which I believe has the same econ for Arts and Science and Business students (at least intro and intermediate courses, not sure on advanced). Both finance and econ are very good at NYU.

^If your in CAS major in Econ or Econ and Mathematics. Also, try make yourself look different and more interesting then the Stern students when it comes to looking for finance jobs. Econ majors get recruited just as well, but with some schools they are considered inferior because they are thoguht of being business school rejects, so you have to know how to play your cards.

to dcfca: there are no pre-law requisites for the law school itself, but many colleges have pre-law classes/courses/seminars and most pre-law advisors will tell you that majoring in a social science is great for law school because they tend to have better GPA's and also because they relate to law a bit more, unless we are talking about patent law because then engineering and physics would probably be better.

Oh sorry if I misphrased my post, I am actually in Stern.

If you're at Stern, the finance part will be a given. I heard many do a double in general accounting or economics theory. The CPA accounting double with finance is overkill, but it happens. I say the general accounting major complements the finance major well with the financial reporting and financial statement analysis courses, especially if you're into i-banking. Stern's program is good because it requires only four electives per major, making a double a worthy choice. (I'm not at Stern, but it was my top choice for the longest time, so I tried to find out a lot.)
