Building a balanced college list

I’m a current senior in Georgia interested in studying aerospace engineering and/or computer science. My stats/ECs are:
GPA: 3.93/ 4.24(weighted)
SAT: 1550/1560 superscore (800 math, 760 EBRW)
SAT II: 790 Math II, 740 Physics

JV Cross Country (9-12), competed at region level 10th and 12th, team got 1st overall this year. Also the topic of my common app essay
Climbing team (9-11), competed in sport, speed, and bouldering. Qualified for nationals in 10th grade
Work at Chick-fil-a (11-12)
Math team, won awards at local level (9-10)
Exchange program with school in Germany (10)
Quiz team (9-11)
Camp counselor (9,10,11) VBS at church and camp invention
Member of 21CL, a leadership program in Atlanta. Attended a summer leadership camp last summer
Currently teaching myself coding outside of school (Python)

My current list of schools is Stanford, MIT, USC, GA Tech, Auburn, Purdue, Michigan, UCLA, UC Berkeley, and UCSD(probably the one I’m least committed to). I feel that this list includes too many reaches and needs to be rebalanced. Any input as to how to rebalance or what you believe my chances of acceptance at these schools are would be greatly appreciated.

Can your parents cover the 60k a year for the UC’s?
You look like a very competitive applicant. Engineering requires near perfect grades and test scores.

There is no financial aid for OOS students at the UC’s.

Yeah the UCs are definitely my least likely to go to because of cost and I may end up not applying at all to them, but I haven’t decided quite yet.

The deadline november 30 for UC’s.

@Immafailthisapp Congratulations on your grades. Stanford and MIT are still reach for you, but worth applying to. You’ve got a good shot at Michigan and USC. GA Tech, Auburn, Purdue should welcome you.

I’m ignoring the UCs.

Good luck!

I decided that I will not be applying to any UCs due to the cost, thanks for pointing that out @lowkeyveryhighkey and @TomSrOfBoston. I may end up applying to UGA just to have another in-state option, but it would definitely be my last choice. Thanks for your input!

You should run the net price calculator for Michigan if you are taking schools off your list because of cost.

They require a CSS so your EFC is likely to be different than the one calculated by the FAFSA.

You will be out of state for Michigan and Purdue as well. Purdue gives some merit scholarships, but their app due date to be considered appears to be Nov 1.

If you are interested in aerospace why isn’t University of Alabama Huntsville on the list?

It’s an automatic full tuition scholarship with a 1520+
Actually, I think they might even take your weighted gpa (4+) to add housing to the award.
