Im a freshman in college and i need a new laptop. i currently have a PC but i would really like to get a macbook pro. I am a business student and currently am planning on going into marketing. Does anyone have any advise as to which type of computer to get!?
and if i do get a mac, will i run into any problems? (minor or major)
Thanks!!!

Mac can run Win apps (using Boot Camp or Parallels), but not vice versa. Just be sure to get 4GB main memory.

I prefer Macs but I don’t dislike PCs. Your school should have labs and libraries full of PCs for you to use, should the need arise.

OS X will feel a little different than Windows (more so if you’re used to XP or Vista rather than 7), but you probably won’t have any major problems. If you end up needing a program that won’t run under OS X, you can always use Boot Camp or Parallels, but more and more major programs are shipping with OS X and Windows versions. If you want a mac, go for it!

You don’t need a Mac.
