I am considering going into a career in Business (Investment Banking is what I'm looking at) but I don't know a lot about the typical education level of someone going in. For instance,
say I graduated with from NYU Stern or Penn (non-wharton) majoring in economics - to be recruited/find a good job, would I have (like do most people) get a MBA afterwards?

what my brother did, which is usually the standard path

intern the summer of your junior years
get a job as an analyst for two
get your mba
continue to associate or use your exit opportunities

apparently what my uncle told me, if somebody shows tremendous potential, he’ll promote them without an mba, but that’s a rare occurrence

ok so if I understand correctly

After UG, become analyst and then get a MBA while being a analyst? or stop temporarily and get MBA and then continue?

lol you can try to get your mba while being an analyst

i don’t think you have researched this job sufficiently

I think it’s you who hasn’t done the researching. Doing two years IB and then going to a top MBA program is not the standard nowadays. Pre-MBA PE experience is the norm.

yeah because there’s not many available jobs today. 2 years ago, and 2 years from now, it’s what i said
