Bulge bracket financial analyst pay

How much do first year Investment Banking analysts make in terms of salary and bonus at a Bulge bracket firm and at non BB firm such as CIBC world markets or Citigroup?? I tried looking it up but keep seeing different numbers

BB 1st Year Analyst took in about 100k in total comp last year.

How much does one make at regional boutique firm? Salary + Bonus?

it would depend a lot on deal flow, how big the firm is, etc. It will be less. Careers in Finance is listing the numbers as 30-70k.

Does working for one of these lower level IB firms, help you get into a good business school? Like would it be better to be an analyst at a boutique, or work for a large public accounting firm?

I thought 1st year analysts typically get around 55k + 10k bonus

redhare, they started at 60-65k Base + 5-10k Sign on + an End of the year bonus. In the end total comp was about 100k for a first year. If not a bit more.

edit-- i'm seeing a total comp range of 90 to 130k.

what exactly compensation?

like if im a first year grad with a finance and accoutning degree...whats the most i can expect in terms of salary and stuff?

I think IB banking with a Wall St. firm pays the most for an undergrad degree. In any discipline.

Like I said. If you manage to get a job as a first year analyst at a BB your total compensation will probably be in that 90-130k year range.

base pay + sign on bonus + end of year bonus. That's how it works. They might only offer kids 65k base and 5k to sign on and then the rest will be in your end of year bonus.

you moron..citigroup is a BB...in fact, it is the number one investmetn bank in underwriting...and number 3 in M+A..please do not speak if you don't know what you are talking about..in fact..if you go to vault..citi is rated as the fifth most prestigous investment bank

i know that vault isn't the most credible..but top ibanks now include gs, ms, citi, lehman, jpm and merill.....cibc isnt even in the same ballpark..get ur facts straight

this year, base pay was mostly 60k per year, and signing bonus of 10k. year-end bonus varies, hard to say what it will be like for sure.
