So far, I haven't gotten into any programs. I've received 18 interview invites, one formal pre-interview rejection, and three "psuedo-rejections" (app wasn't reviewed due to incomplete materials, and I was notified too late to rectify the situations :( ). I have five schools left to hear back from, two of which don't do interviews, and three of which haven't notified yet. The only post-interview info I've heard has been a waitlist; the other three places at which I've interviewed have yet to release post-interview notifications. I can't help but wonder if I'll ever actual get in somewhere....

Anyone else still in this pre/post-interview waiting game limbo?

Sure, a lot of people are. Some fields haven’t even started releasing admissions yet. I’m not sure why you’re worried if you have 18 interviews.

An interview at a psych program means you’re almost accepted. With 18 interviews, assuming you’re not totally socially inept, you’ll probably be accepted to at least half of those post-interview, although I would bet even more.

27, but all were strong research matches (got lucky in terms of finding good POI matches in a lot of programs, which is surprising because my research interests are fairly “niche.”). So far, of the 18 invites, I’m planning to go on 10, turning one down, and doing six phone/Skype interviews). Five left to hear from re: interview invites, two of which don’t do interviews.

I just wish I would get in somewhere soon! It would be such a stress reliever…

How on earth did you afford 27 applications?!!

It’s still early yet, really. The earliest I received an “informal” acceptance (professor via the phone, not official letter) was early Feb. The rest came in March along with recruitment weekends, etc.
