Hey folks

I applied to UCSD this year under TAG, but I came JUST under the 3.0 requirement. Literally a 2.985. Just my luck.

I'm assuming that makes me ineligible for TAG transfer (and FML, of COURSE the minimum gets bumped to 3.5 next year). I have just finished my winter courses, and I have already bumped my gpa to a 3.189. What are my chances of admission under normal admissions for Economics? I think I have a pretty solid personal reflection, but I have heard conflicting reports as to whether or not UCSD has adopted holistic review for transfer students.

If I don't get accepted this year, is it possible for me to not report grades from one college? I have a 2.7 from one community college where I really messed up, and a 3.8 from my current one. I have applied for federal aid from the 2.7 community college, but did not receive any aid because I did not submit a few required forms. Does that mean that the clearinghouse doesn't know I attended the 2.7 college? I have done the calculations: I need 50 semester units of straight A's to get my gpa up to a 3.5. I'd much rather just not report those grades and finish the rest of my units at the 3.8 school.

Or am I better off reporting everything, since I have made such an improvement in my grades? I know for sure that I can get my gpa up to at least a 3.3. I would feel pretty comfortable about this, but again I don't know if UCSD is doing holistic review.

So in summary:
1) Chance me
2) Is UCSD doing holistic review for transfer applicants as well?
3) Can I not report grades from one college?
