<li>Alright, so FSU and UF are my top two choices. Lately I've been really interested in FSU Honors. Let me highlight some background info of mine:
-SAT Score: 1910 (730 Reading, 510 Math, 670 Writing, haven't got second set of scores back)
-ACT Score: 27 (33 Reading, 24 Math, 23 Science, and 29 Writing)
-I've been admitted to UCF and USF but haven't been invited to either of their honors colleges. However, I'm still in the process of getting my Florida residency info squared away because my dad doesn't have any of the usual info (voter's registration, driver's license, etc., although he does have an ID). My mother passed away this August, so can't use any of her info.
-My unweighted GPA is a 3.2 and weighted GPA is a 5.0 and I've taken a few AP classes and I'm in IB.
-My planned major is psychology with a minor in creative writing and I would definitely not pursue UF honors.
So, knowing that, do you guys think I can get an invitation for Honors? And if not, do you think it'd be wise to petition it? </li>
<li>I just got accepted and can see that people are getting numbers to select their housing, but I can't see how to go about doing that. I know Honors students can room in Landis, which I would want. How do I go about doing this?</li>

<p>So I can’t activate an FSU ID it seems even with the password they gave me, which is required for that page 
EDIT: Alright, so apparently you just use your temporary ID and password, but when I type those in it gives me “You are not authorized” screen >_></p>

<p>Click on the Apply Here button on the right. Then follow the instructions. You use the same ID/password for the application status check to sign up for housing.</p>
<p>Don’t worry about what dorms you pick now, you can change them later. Just pick any dorms.</p>

<p>What are good dorms? My friend is telling me DeGraff is the best but if I’m in honors do I have to be in Landis? And apparently Wildwood is good but I have no idea for a fourth choice.

<p>Just sign up! You can redo your preferences later. In fact, you can redo them 2 minutes after you sign up, 1 hour after you sign up, 5 days after you sign up , or even through March.</p>

<p>yes, it is decent. FSU enrolls 5500 Freshman in the fall if I am correct. That puts you in the top 25% for housing priority and some of those who signed up ahead of you won’t matriculate. Heck, most people don’t even think they can sign up until after Midnight.</p>

I’m really glad I’ve been able to navigate this process, but I owe a lot to all the help here :]

Edit: Well I can’t edit the OP, so I’ll just post here saying I’d appreciate replies to question 1, in addition to replies concerning the best halls at FSU and whether or not Honors is exclusively Landis.

<p>Ok, now you have 10 days to pay the $225 and to send in the application signed by your dad if you are under 18. If you are over 18, you don’t need your dad to sign.</p>

<p>My priority is 211. I have asked for Landis double with bath. WOuld this mess my choice? Or they will automatically assign double room with shared bath? Any thoughts?</p>
