Hi there,
I’m currently a freshman at Northwestern University. After a quarter and a half of classes and despite being academically successful (I currently have a 4.0) I realized that Northwestern’s not the right school for me, as I would prefer to have an education with a greater focus on the Liberal Arts. After doing some research, I’m fairly convinced that Notre Dame’s the best school for me.
I’m particularly interested in the Program of Liberal Studies and Political Studies Majors.
However, when I looked at Notre Dame’s Transfer page, it lists a long list of courses they require transfer students to take before enrolling. If I apply to Notre Dame, I still have one quarter left to take classes at Northwestern after this quarter’s end. I’d really appreciate any guidance anyone might be able to give me both in regards to fulfilling these requirements and to the transfer application process in general (on which I’m also clueless). I’m listing my course record below in case it helps at all:
Fall Quarter 2016:
Intro to American Government and Politics (POLISCI)
Intro to Macroeconomics (ECON)
Single-Variable Calculus I (MATH)
What is College For? (PHIL)
Winter Quarter 2017:
Intro to Political Philosophy (PHIL)
Ethical Problems and Public Issues (PHIL)
Constitutional Law I (POLISCI)
Single Variable Calculus II (MATH)
