Well, I just called college board about my SAT score yesterday asking for my november SAT to be handscored (I actually did worse than I thought possible just to give you an idea), and I couldnt help but feel like college board was trying to hide this option from people. First of all their link on the site doesnt work, so you have to dig a little to find the phone number. Then when I called, the guy first acted confused that I would ask such a thing. Finally, I had finished giving the man my information only to find that he was just going to send me a form via the internet and email! I mean it seems like they could have just posted the form itself on their website. Does anyone know why this is?

I'm not sure WHY they do it, but I know that when there was a bunch of controversy over the month that they royally screwed up (I want to say March 2006?), the hand-scoring forms were described as obscure and little-known. I wouldn't worry about it if I were you.

Maybe they just don't want to make it TOO easy and have every overachiever in the country shelling out those $50 in hopes of getting 10-20 more points for eraser marks. That's a lot of hand-scoring.

Good luck!
