So I was just accepted to UCF for the Fall 2017 term! I really want to get into the Burnett honors college though, I really like the benefits they have and I really value the smaller classes.

*I just retook SAT in school and plan to send in the new scores, but I’m afraid I won’t get a 1400 :frowning:
*Taken and passed AP Human Geo, Euro History, Psychology
*Got a 5 on my IB Bio SL exam and a 7 in Math Studies SL

Do you think I have a good chance of getting into Burnett Honors College?

Pretty sure you’ll get in. I’m OOS and had a 3.6 UW / 1390 SAT and got in. Also had 12 AP classes.

@GSMSTer Wow, impressive stats! Congrats  Though compared to you, my SAT score still seems pretty low. Did you have any teacher recommendations?

@prettygms Sorry for the late reply, but yeah I had four teacher recommendations. Well to be exact, two were teachers I had in the past year and two were teachers from middle school who live next to me (close family friends who happened to be my teachers lol). I think those teacher recs helped me out; your SAT isn’t too far from mine, so I still think you have a chance. Your UW GPA is amazing, but I took all honors classes along with my AP classes. I’m not completely sure if those honors classes helped my chance of getting in, but your GPA definitely balances out your SAT. I applied the day the app came out, so I would say apply as soon as you have a chance before slots get taken up.

Update: I got in! My second SAT score was a 1360 so I put that on my application and I was accepted the 19th! :))
