Anyone accepted yet? If so, how long did it take?

I just sent in my app today

S received reply after 1.5 wks stating pending status.

what were her stats if you don’t mind me asking?

4.1 GPA; 28 ACT (taking again in two weeks). Tons of impressive ECs; but I believe it’s all about the grades. Visiting there next Friday for their open house - hope to get more info.

same stats as me…hopefully the both of us get accepted

Went to the open house on Friday, Oct 15. The program is impressive and all students who attended are excited for the opportunity. As explained to us, top test scores/GPAs are accepted now; current class GPA just under 4.2 and ACT of 30.5. Those who fall below these scores will be reviewed again in the Spring and choices will be made on overall strength of the application. They are seeking bright students who are well rounded and interested in becoming a member of the Honors community.

Hello, I as well have around the statistics and am about to mail in my application. Did your D receive any decision yet?

Yes, pending status. When we went to the open house at Burnett on the 15th, they had only accepted 2 students who were both merit scholarship winners (auto acceptance.) All others that are borderline will be reviewed against each other to determine who gets accepted. They said this process will happen early next year. Is it your test score that’s borderline? If so, suggest retaking and include that information in your application so they know you are trying to improve.

I just applied today to BHC. Does anyone know the decision timeframe?

Decision timeframe is approx 2 weeks.

Hi Folks:

Did anyone receive any merit aid from UCF. I am a National Merit commended student. SAT score 2210. Rank No.1, plenty of ECs.

I was accepted with plenty of aid from USF Honors college (Presidential Scholarship+Honors award). WHy is UCF not announcing any scholarship news? I live in Orlando. Thanks

Accepted! (:

I gave my completed application to my counselor and she mailed it out on Monday (11/15), it got to UCF on Tuesday, and I got my letter of acceptance today (11/19).

I think Provost Scholarship winners are treated like NMS winners, in terms of auto acceptance to UCF honors. On Tuesday I received a letter in the mail from Burnett that stated, “Since you are a Provost Scholarship winner… We welcome you to the Burnett Honors College.” So…

Welcome to Honors. :)

You’ll love it.
