Burnett Honors College

I was accepted at UCF for Fall 2014.

I will be graduating high school with my AA Degree and over 70 credits but I will be considered a 'freshman with credits' at UCF even though I have completed my lower level courses.

1) I am currently working on my application for the Burnett Honors College. Will me having my AA degree and over 70 credits affect my chances? I have a 3.7 college GPA and 4.5 HS GPA with a 1310/1930 SAT and solid EC's. The website says applicants graduating with an AA degree through dual enrollment are eligible on a case-by-case basis. Is this good or bad?

2) Will me having my AA as a 'freshman' affect my experience at UCF in any way because I will start out taking upper level classes?

Anyone in BHC or freshman with AA degrees please feel free to share any information.

Anyone? Help?

Bump bump bump

From my understanding (Mind you this is for a different Florida University so it may be different), when you enter with AP IB AICE credits, they don’t become “official” until your second semester. So for first semester, you will be a Freshman, then once Spring 2015 comes along, you will get your AA and be considered a junior. They aren’t going to have you walk in as a junior, but you can still take junior level courses, especially if you have all the requirements for your AA. I would verify what credits transfer over to UCF as well, since some may count for the same category there and you not realize.
