“You must have tap”

no, I have a 3.93 with no tap and got into ucla biz econ. My school doesn’t offer tap though. That might be the reason. I think it comes down to essays and EC’s. I had an intership at my county’s auditing office. I had done substantial work with a police department. I wrote an excellent essay. I think my passion for economics came through in the application, and that is why I think I got in.

Bottom line for future UCLA ECON applicants: you must have at least a 3.9 and must show that you are really passionate and commited to UCLA. Applying to biz econ just because you want a business degree and its the only uc equivalent beside haas won’t cut it. So do some interships, get obsessed with getting in. I probably have 60+ hours on this forum in the last year.
