does anyone have suggestion to help freshman with learning the bus routes on campus, besides the map? any apps for android cell? thx!

You could always just ask the driver if the bus goes to a certain place. I don’t know of any apps…

Come on, it’s a rite of passage for freshman - don’t be embarrassed! Pull out that map and look for where you need to go. Everyone’s done it Upperclassmen may laugh, but it’s because they’re thinking “I remember doing that too!” Most stops also have a copy of the map posted that you could look at if you don’t want to pull one out.

Other than that…experience? You’ll learn the routes eventually. You could always randomly ride one and see where it goes if you have the time. You’ll learn the routes you need to know. Honestly, I’m pretty sure I never rode the Milledge bus and therefore have no idea what its route is…

I do have a warning for you though - only use family housing if you absolutely must or if you know the route well, or you might end up off campus. It’s happened to me at least twice :P

hahaha jenmarie, i’m the mama. i advised my daughter to ask the driver, so the very next one she did. the driver was grumpy, my d said, but she got her answer. thanks! hey btw, have you heard of peter rajecki? my d said he introduced himself and proceeded to coach their intramural soccer team’s practice for an hour. he’s a former kicker for uga and apparently, a wealthy entrepreneur. hmmmm…
