Does anyone happen to know the best way to get to Whole Foods on N Lamar? I have been asking around, but apparently the place isn't frequented as often by students. Maybe Central Market has similar enough products to suit my needs, but I'd like to know just in case. Thanks.

Also, is there any direct route toward that Central Market just north of campus? It seems to drop people off quite a hidden hike from the actual store.

did you try on the trip planner on the capital metro website? also, make sure you map out how to get back! it’s not fun walking back with shopping bags

The Trip Planner has been woefully inaccurate EVERY time I’ve used it, so I’m going by the facts of those with experience. Thanks for the google maps link!

Yeah, Google Maps works better than the trip planner. Plus on the iPhone the Google Maps application uses the CapMetro data to generate routes. It has never failed me the 50+ times I have used it in various situations.

the best way IMO is to call up the bus operator helpline and they’ll tell you the easiest route, right away. I mean, Google Maps may give the right directions but they aren’t always the most straightforward ones

To get to Whole Foods: Take the LA (Lake Austin) UT shuttle Bus. The stop is in front of Dobie heading west. It will drop you off at Amy’s Ice Cream which is across the street from Whole Foods.

I know a lot of people who go to Whole Foods all the time…

There are a bunch of ways to get back. I never take the LA back, don’t know why. You can take the LA I guess maybe but I never have, take bus 21 to Congress and then get on the 1L/1M, or you can take the 21 on its complete route but it goes way out of the way and takes forever to get back to campus and stops in this parking lot to change drivers and/or buses which is generally creepy if you take it at night.

Uhm if you are going on a day where there are no shuttle buses…I don’t know exactly. You’d have to use the trip planner.
