*Busch vs. College Ave.*

Can someone please evaluate Busch vs. College Ave? Which ones have better dorms/facilities? Which looks nicer and has a better feel. I'm in-state so I really don't look at Rutgers in a good light. If I attend, I want to have the best setting...I'm most likely going to Rutgers College...so which campus is more convenient?

Busch has better dorms and facilities BY FAR.

But I can't answer your question of whether one campus is more convenient over the other one without knowing your major first.

Busch has nicer dorms and facilities (at least for freshman... when you're a junior or senior you can live in Easton Ave Apartments or in Rockoff on College ave which are new). For which looks nicer, i think its hard to argue that busch looks nicer than college ave. Busch has more 60s-ish architecture and new-age stuff. Though college ave. has some of that, it also has a lot of old buildings and a few quads because it's the oldest campus.
It depends on your priorities-- Busch is quieter w/ more science and engineering ppl living there. College Ave. has more parties and is right next to downtown New Brunswick.

For what's more convenient-- it depends on how many science courses you'll be taking. Right now, my courseload is pretty evenly split between college ave. and busch so they would be equally convenient for me (I live on college ave.)

i'd go to busch

hmm..thanks, guys

anymore feedback?

Busch reminds me of a corporate complex. It's just gray buildings and lawns, not terribly exciting. It's definitely more low-key than College Ave, but it does have very good facilities. College Avenue is bit "grittier," but it's also much more lively.

Wait, I'm confused. People who go to rutgers college live on busch adn college ave?

yeap, sanosuke

Isn't Rockoff inbetween college ave and cook campus? That is not convenient at all. Nice dorms though. Otherwise, busch rec center and dorms are just nicer but college ave is closer to any class not science or math related.

yea-- in my opinion, rockoff is a little bit too far removed. Easton Ave apartments are like a 1 minute walk from college ave, though.

You guys shouldn't worry too much about where most of your classes will be-- decide where you live based on what campus best matches your personality. I'm a science major but live on College Ave-- its no big deal. It's a 7 minute bus ride or something and you're on Busch, and vice-versa. At college, you'll be wasting much more time than a few bus rides per week on other stuff.

Another Stupid Question:
Do we have a choice of campuses when we enroll?

Yea, you fill out a housing form and you rank where you want to live most. (you pick residence halls, not campuses... but obviously you pick the residence halls on the campus that you like most)

how is the cook college?
