My son, freshman, just moved in to UA campus. I wanted to know are there any buses to travel to and fro from Memphis to Tuscaloosa. We were thinking of greyhound but it comes from Birmingham and it has long waiting hours. Ideally it should take 3.5 hours but due to the waiting hours it gets pretty long. Alsa greyhound timings from Tuscaloosa to Birmingham makes it worst. Are there any other buses from university going to Birmingham or traveling towards Memphis directly?
When and how often does he need to get from Tuscaloosa to Memphis? He may be able to catch a ride with another student. There are FB groups and rideshare groups for UA that could help him find other students who might be headed that way.
Megabus runs between Memphis and Birmingham, but he’d still need to get to Birmingham.
Thank you so much for replying. We are new to Memphis and all the college stuff. I had no idea about the Facebook group. That group looks really helpful.
Also, megabus option is good, it takes less time than greyhound. Megabus must be having stops, maybe it would stop at Tuscaloosa.
