PRESIDENT BUSH TO SPEAK AT AIR FORCE ACADEMY GRADUATION
April 10, 2008

President George W. Bush will be the guest speaker for this years graduation ceremony, the White House announced today.

This will be President Bushs second visit to the Air Force Academy in this role. He last spoke at the U.S. Air Force Academy during the graduation ceremony for the Class of 2004.

Graduation for the approximately 950 members of the Academys Class of 2008 is May 28, starting at 10 a.m. in Falcon Stadium.

the guest speaker (if i've heard correctly) typically awards diplomas to at least the distinguished graduates (top 100 in the class). After that point, when diplomas become awarded by squadron and alphabetical order, the speaker may either continue to present and shake, or he may sit and another person would present. regardless, he'll speak, and security will be ridiculous.

The main reason for President Bush coming to thihs years graduation is that it is the 50th class to graduate from the United States Air Force Academy. Nothing quite as impressive as West Point, but we're starting to get up there in the years. A good look at 2007 graduation is

the President is coming this year also (instead of last year i heard) in order to break up routine. They President was falling onto a schedule, which would give terrorists years in advance to plan something against the rpesident. by changing the rotation even just one, it can mess them up and keep them on their toes
