Business Administration acceptances as a change of major?

I was curious, about those who got accepted or know of anyone who got into Business Administration as a change of major (not a transfer) and how difficult it is to get in.. Like what GPA did those accepted have?

When i applied, i got rejected for BA, but was accepted for undeclared.
I got an email in june about how i can change my major to BA before fall quarter starts.
i talked to the counselors and the people i know at irvine about it, and they said it’s pretty difficult to change business admin later in the years.
i’m not very sure which gpa’s they accept, but i heard it was quite challenging.

3.8+ is what they look for. Very selective… They try to maintain like 200 per class? I think.

3.8+ for non-transfers?

From what I heard… I’m sure people have gotten in with 3.0 (the minimum) but very few if any. Most people change to bus/econ because it’s easier to get into.

Oh, I was talking about those who changed their majors into Business Administration, who were undergrads at UCI already, not new freshman or transfers. I believe there’s only like 10 people though…

Yes, that’s what we’re all talking about. You are correct because maintaining a distinct class size involves taking in as many students as are dropped out.

I’ve heard that the accounting minor acceptees have an average GPA of 3.8… Which I believe, since I know of someone who got waitlisted for it with a 3.7. I just figured the major would be even more ridiculous, which is why I got confused when you mentioned 3.0.
With Business Administration I’ve always heard it’s difficult to get into, but I just wanted some actual statistics. But it probably is around a 3.8+ GPA… I’ve just heard things like you need a 4.0 -_-.
