business and comp sci double major?

too difficult?

not really… depends at which school?

idk lets say a top 20 school
also those are two of the top desired majors for employers, right?

it is pretty challenging, but if thats what you want to end up doing then i say go for it.
i have a friend who started off on that path because she thought it would look good, but in the end realized how tough it was to continue and it really was not worth it since she wants to go into marketing, and advertisement related careers…

minor in comp sci. don’t worry too much about it. if you want to major, do classes like nuts over summer, but that’ll kill your interning approaches.

Typically choosing a dual major is tough, and extremely tough if you are trying to graduate in 4 years. If you can get the classes you need for one of the majors, you could be forced to stay at school longer costing you or or your parents more in the long run.

Also keep in mind when you have two majors in different area’s of study, you will typically have two different advisors to meet with, different requirements to meet with each, and totally different topics to study.

If you choose two majors in the same area of study (ex: Finance and Accounting are both Business Majors) some of what you learn will overlap and support what you learn in the other major.

If you are confident you can pull it off, graduating with dual majors will help when you are looking for a job, but you have to weigh the pros and cons to see if it is worth it.

Because:
Double the major = Double the work

  • but -
Double the major <> Double the salary (does not usually equal)
