I heard about this Stern program when I was on the tour, and I found some info on the website. Does anyone know what kind of careers this leads to? All the studying abroad and the course content seems really interesting, but I don't want to have really limited options.

And to anyone in the program, what's your impression? Does all the studying abroad interfere with interviewing and internships?

Thankss guys!

i am also interested in this program, it is my main reason for wanting to go Stern. i dont thinkg you will find any answers, because the class of 2013 is going to be the inaugural class for this program. So i guess you have to do it in order to find out. just imagine the business contacts you'll make worldwide though!

can someone fill me in on what this is? The name alone seems like a perfect program for me

Business and Political Economy is

"For students entering NYU in Fall 2009 or later, our innovative new Business & Political Economy (BPE) program will provide you with a unique global perspective that will prepare you for the complex challenges faced by our global society. The program features a groundbreaking curriculum that combines coursework in business, politics and economics with integrated study at NYU's campuses in three of the world's most important global marketplaces - NYU's Washington Square campus in New York City and NYU's global campuses in London and Shanghai.

Like the core business program, the BPE program combines in-classroom learning with co-curricular experiences. The three semesters you will spend abroad as part of the BPE program will give you a real-world understanding of today's global business environment - there is no program like it. In addition, every Stern student is given the opportunity to experience the richness of New York City life. Through the Jerry and Adrianne Cohen Arts and Culture Experience, you will be able to attend cultural events, including theater and museum trips, at highly subsidized prices. We also encourage you to participate in local community service projects to enrich your cultural experience and enhance your sense of professional responsibility."

Got it? Good.

It's the ENTIRE reason NYU moved from my #8 spot to my #1/#2 choice.
If you're international, or enjoy cultures, go for it!
