business and theatre

Ok, so i posted about 100 posts, ok maybe like 20 about the same subject.

I want to major in business and minor in theatre.

I would rather double major but alot of schools i guess dont allow that, i'm not sure.

Anyways I really want to visit some of these colleges in August.

Can anyone give me some good suggestions on what college i should visit, besides NYU and Carnegie Melon, (which you can't major and minor anyways)

I'm 2/215 in my class
4.0 U.W. gpa
1080 SAT C.R. and Math ( will retake in October )
Tons of EC's (class president, lead in school musicals, community service, ect.)

Even if the school isnt ranked that high, i would still want to know about it!

If anyone can give me advice i would GREATLY appreciate it

Thanks so much!

Many BA programs wll let you double major.

I don't know what area of the country you are looking at, but if yoy are interested in the mid-atlantic region look at James Madison University in VA, American University in DC, and the University of Maryland.

I would avoid most programs that have a BFA degree in which you may not double major with Business. Many BFA programs are closed to non-majors in terms of classes and opportunities. However, this is nt always the case, and some programs will allow you to double maor. I know some people at NYU for instance who have done so, although, not with business.

Make sure that you do your research to make aure that the schools you apply to will allow you to have the kinds of opportunities for which you are looking.

Good Luck :)

Kyle, I'm not sure if this is still the case but when my D started at NYU, Tisch drama majors were able to do a minor in Business at Stern. It might be worth investigating if this option is still available. Not a double major, but it might fit the bill for what you want.

Ok thanks for your advice, i'll look into it!

The University of Maryland, College Park has an excellent business school and is also very active in the arts, with a beautiful new arts center. I would imagine that you could do your major/minor there and they'd probably love to have you with your stats. Good luck.
