<p>still no clear answer? is brown good or not for eco/business? compared , lets say to NU ?</p>
<p>Brown recently changed their more business orientated curriculum. If you look hard enough through this forum you will find information for it and various links, as well as of course on the Brown site. Most people probably do not have a good feel for how good it is given it is so new. But, come on. It's Brown. I'm sure that it's amazing. I am still undecided if I want to do an English major or a Business/ Business geared major. I've applied to various Business programs but my first choice for both English and Business oriented curriculum is Brown. Hope that helps. :)</p>
<p>Brown's Economics department is tied for 3rd (with Princeton) in the U.S. among a lot of various rankings. (Chicago #1, Harvard #2, Brown/Princeton #3, Penn #5). I have applied to Brown to complete my BA in Economics.</p>
<p>I agree that Brown is a terrific school , but what rankings are you looking at that put it in the top 5 in economics?</p>
<p>They have an entrepneurship program, and economics at any Ivy League college is great and pretty much all you need to enter business</p>
<p>They have a lot of collaborate things that bring together kids from like the engineering and biomedical science programs together to design products and market them - my interviewer told me this, and I think its pretty cool</p>
<p>They have a new concentration in COE (Commerce, Organizations, and Entrepreneurship). If I get in, that will be my major.</p>
