How is the college's undergrat business (accounting) program?

Not sure about currently, but it was number one in the state when I was in school in the old days (early 80's)

I imagine it's at least as good now as it was then. I would never get in William and Mary now.

W&M has a good accounting program: Accounting Program Ranking

lots of accounting majors get employed by PriceWaterhouse Coopers, KPMG, Deloitte, Ernst and Young, etc.: Outcome information

I think one of the posters here mentioned they were a current business student in another thread... I'm sure they will chime in shortly and be able to help.

I want to say it's in the 20-30 range ranking wise... but I might be completely wrong, so don't hold me to that, lol.

Wow, don't know how I missed this post. I'm back on campus now. PM me if you have specific questions and I'll try to help.

Yes, Mason as a whole is ranked #29 by BusinessWeek magazine, and the accounting program was ranked in the top 25 by the Public Accounting Reports Annual Professors Survey. As a student in the program I can confirm the accuracy of the ratings.

Accounting at W&M has been top notch for years. Top execs at Smith Barney and Legg Mason(incl Chip Mason Pres) have come from Business school.
