Hi, i'm a junior in high school and my parents really want me to go to a medical school. I am really interested in business though. I want to get my bachelors in business administration or marketing. Then I want to get my MBA.

First, can someone tell me how long will it take for me to get my bachelors in business administration or marketing. And then getting my mba.

Second, what are some top paying jobs that I will be able to choose from after getting my bachelors and then my mba. I dont care about long hours. I will work as much as possible. Lemme know how much they pay:D

Third, does the college I go to really matter? I'm planning on going to Fordham, and I plan to be on the top of my class. If theres any other good colleges in new york, please suggest.

Also, I'm on the tennis team, Im in the mock trial, math league, art club. I do like 3-5 volunteer hours a week. Are those good enough for my resume?

5-6 years not including work in between

Ibanking, S&T

yes it does matter a lot, fr NYC go to Columbia or NYU Stern

NYU Stern is the best school for business in NYC, followed by Columbia (because it has no business preperation, only general BA of economics), and then Fordham.

You got Pace too, but that school is just for a good lol.

The four years is for your bachelors which everyone obviously gets when you graduate from college. The extra two years (usually) for your MBA is only after you've had several years of work experience; no top business schools will admit someone with no work experience.

And yes, if you want a job in an IB firm you better come out of a great school like NYU Stern.

Who cares if Columbia doesn't have an undergrad business program. If the OP wants to go into IB, consulting, or other high-paying careers he would be better served to go to Columbia. Fact of the matter is prestige is more important then major for the above mentioned careers and in terms of prestige: Columbia > NYU Stern.

That said, NYU Stern is an excellent school as well. You can't go wrong with either school.
