Business - Cinematic Arts

Can anyone tell me about the Business Administration (Cinematic Arts) major in Marshall or show me where I can find more info? What is this degree geared towards?

=T i just wrote a detailed post and it didn't go through... anyway, i graduated in 2004 w/ Business Admin - Cinematic Arts joint major. It's really great and selective - offered to about 30 interested students/ year. I'm not sure if the program has changed since I graduated but you'll get great exposure to the entertainment industry and connections. Your professors will be industry veterans - producers, former Marketing CEO of the film studios, etc. They'll bring guest speakers to class - producers, directors, talent agents, etc. Basically you'll be taking same classes as the other normal Business students plus an additional Cinema class each semester. Your first year classes will be general like Intro to Film and Intro to TV Productions, and then from 2nd year, you'll be taking classes that will prepare you for the entertainment business industry. You can drop out of this program if you want but I suggest you stay in it - it will make your study @ USC more entertaining. You'll still be able to declare concentration in marketing, finance, etc. like the other Business students. It's kind of like Business major w/ Cinema minor, but not really.
