Business + Computer Science

Hey,

I am a rising Senior just working on my college list and I'm pretty set on pursuing a program that involves both Computer Science and Business/Management. So far I was pretty set on UC Berkeley but after reading up on it, it is nearly impossible to do both CS and Business from Haas, so the only thing that would be available to me is either pure CS (business minor not offered anymore) or business with CS minor (all assuming I get into Haas). I don't really have a preference on location (lived in both extremes of the weather) and want to work in Start Ups or Management Consulting when I graduate, although this may change since I am still young.

So far I know of UPENN's M&T which is pretty hard to get into and University of Nebraska - Lincoln's Raikes school of CS and Management which sounds perfect (and gives amazing merit aid), but doesn't have that big of a rep, and is still pretty competitive (33 kids accepted, average ACT of 33.5).

I'm not planning on becoming the party every weekend kind of guy but I do want some free time and a decent-ish social life, so if anyone has any suggestions that would be great!

I know of a couple people doing CS+Business at University of Michigan. Like Haas, Ross admission is not guaranteed. So you would start off in LSA/Engineering CS and apply to Ross your freshman year (unless you are preferred admitted). It would probably take 5 years to graduate, although I’m not positive. CS and Business are both very VERY strong at UM.
