Business Department

Anybody have any input that they can share? I would be interested in hearing about the business majors that are not joint majors with the School of Communications. Happy wanderer asked before, but did not get any responses.

On the Business School:

Business Adminstration is one of the most popular majors on campus, however, that does not mean that students don't get a lot of individualized attention. Our business programs are great. First off, our business school just recieved a new, EXCLUSIVE accredidation that I believe only 12 undergraduate schools have.

In addition, IC is breaking ground on a brand new business school this summer. It will be completed by 2008-2009 school year and it is going to be our first fully sustainable building on campus. This is significant because IC wishes to emphasize to business students, the importance of always keeping things like the environment and other people in mind when making business decisions - that whole corporate citizenship thing...ya know.

However, don't think the building we have now isn't great too. It has four floors, all classrooms are "smart" and have smart boards. IC is one of only around 12 undergraduate institutions with a LIVE stock trader.

And, for any students interested in becoming a future stock broker, the business school even has a club for those interested that actually invests REAL MONEY of both the school, student organizations, and even students. Great experience for anyone interested in that.

Those are all the facts I know, but they're really quite impressive!

Also, IC offers 5-year MBA and CPA programs. Hope this helps!
